Colombo Translation is a local multilingual translation agency located in Port Moody, BC, seeking an Italian-Speaking Remote Project Coordinator. We specialize in the certified translation of documents for legal, immigration, medical and business sectors. 100% accepted by government and official entities.

The Job

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bilingual Translations Coordinator, fluent or advanced in written Italian (additional languages are an asset). The role requires working remotely, answering customers quickly, coordinating with vendors in a fast-paced environment and daily administrative tasks and operations. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, initiative and the ability to work independently. This position provides interns with the opportunity of first-hand insight and experience with the daily entrepreneurial operations, sales, and marketing aspects a small business. As well as access to innovative software and tools such as Hubspot, accounting and vendor management tools.
This is NOT a translator position, it’s a project coordination role.

About the role
What you need to be successful
  • Answering emails in English and Italian primarily, and with the occasional French or Spanish if possible.
  • Assessing the requirements of each project, and consequently guiding customers through the order process and sales pipeline, and selecting the appropriate vendors
  • Answering customer questions and providing quotes promptly, professionally and with a very high standard of care. Learning about the industry and specific official requirements.
  • Incorporating Marketing and Customer Service strategies in communications with customers, predominantly using Hubspot Sales and Operations tools.
  • Creating Deals and Entering Data in Hubspot, useful for reporting
  • Issuing invoices and recording payments
  • Coordinating projects and communicating with vendors, communicating efficiently with the team on Slack, regularly updating deal notes and contact profiles in Hubspot
  • Assisting with vendor recruitment and management as required.
  • Additional administrative tasks if needed.
  • Assistance with introductory marketing tasks, such as email outreach using Hubspot (B2B) and implementing content marketing strategies (B2B and B2C)
  • Must be a student enrolled in a Canadian school or institute part-time or full-time
  • Must possess Permanent Residency status or Canadian Citizenship
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and advanced or fluent Italian written skills (additional languages like French or Spanish are an asset)
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Detail-oriented and priority-oriented are a must
  • Strong sense of confidentiality
  • Good knowledge of Outlook and Excel
  • Knowledge of Hubspot and Wave Accounting is an asset, but not required (paid training will be provided)
  • Initiative, a dynamic attitude and foresight

Working Location & Schedule

This is a remote, work-from-home position. You will be required to provide your own password protected and private computer and reliable high-speed internet secure access. Ideally, you must be available to work during standard business hours. The schedule and days are negotiable and the hours are flexible.

Salary and Opportunities

The position is part-time, approximately 15-25 hrs/week to start over 4 days a week.

This role has the potential to develop into a long-term opportunity for the right candidate, with additional hours and potentially a full-time position (depending on the needs of both parties). The wage for the position is $21-22 depending on experience.
